The Chase Building, Arkle Road, Sandyford

Walsh Goodfellow oversaw the creation of this purpose-built commercial development, expertly positioned on a sloping site in Sandyford, Dublin 18. Collaborating closely with HKR Architects and the client, Sandyford Forum Developments, our team guided the project from initial planning right through to completion, resulting in this striking eight-storey office landmark with a double basement.

The structure features a robust concrete frame and post-tensioned flat slabs, ranging from 250mm to 300mm thickness, spanning a 9m x 7.5m grid. This design maximises headroom and minimises obstructions throughout the floor plates, offering exceptional flexibility.

Walsh Goodfellow delivered both the structural and civil engineering solutions for the project. Today, The Chase Building is widely recognised as a best-in-class office development, setting the benchmark in Sandyford—Dublin’s most desirable suburban business hub. Boasting breathtaking views over Dublin Bay and the Dublin Mountains, alongside excellent transport links, The Chase is regarded as the premier choice for modern office accommodation.
